From over 8,000 entries, the AI43 Jury selected only 356 images by a majority vote or better to appear in the book and online galleries representing the best pictures from 2023. Three illustrations for Internazionale on an essay by Dimiter Kenarov about the societal changes in his Country after the collapse of the totalitarian regime. Bulgarians felt a rush of excitement for the future in the ‘90s, when the frontiers opened and time started moving forward again. But now that things have settled down, time seems to stand still in a grey routine with no perspective… “Somebody is bringing us the same broth over and over again”.
