It has been a real pleasure illustrating these football moments. The next edition held in Brasil is coming this summer and I can't wait to do some drawings about it!
The last FIFA World Cup edition took place in South Africa. In the final, Spain defeated third-time finalists the Netherlands 1–0 after extra time, with Andrés Iniesta's goal. Spain claimed their first world title and confirmed theirself as one of the strongest team ever, winning also two consecutives European championship in 2008 and 2012.

Three book covers for Black Hill Press, an independent publishing collective which produces curated collections of contemporary american novellas.
Many great illustrators worked for them so I'm very proud to be featured as one of their collaborator. Here some sketches not chosen. Finally the Copyright User Portal is online. It's an independent online resource aimed at making UK Copyright Law accessible to creators and members of the public, and I'm very glad to have taken part in this project as illustrator.
I also did the illustrations for the video "Copyright & Creativity", produced by Bartolomeo Meletti, directed and animated by Marco Bagni. It has been a good occasion for me to experiment something different from my usual style! The project was made possible by contributions from several British institutes such as Bournemouth University, University of Glasgow, Arts and Humanities Research Council, CREATe. Glad to know that San Antonio Spurs' player Marco Belinelli won the Three-Point Shootout at the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. Born in Bologna, he played in both teams of our city between 2001 and 2007 before moving to NBA.
Five illustrations for the Winter issue of Mount Holyoke Alumnae Quarterly, about five reasons to be optimistic about some delicate issues of today: politics, social security, obesity, global warming and journalism.
Thanks to AD Millie Rossman-Kidd. My recent illustration for The Wall Street Journal: "A New Way to Clean Old Money".
Replacing old bank notes with new bills costs a lot of money because of disposal and replacement, so the scientists found that there is a way to clean old money from the gunk of people's hands. I did more than 15 sketches about that topic, here are some rejected ideas: Italy won the 18th FIFA World Cup tournament, held in Germany, claiming their fourth title. They defeated France 5–3 in a penalty shootout in the final, after extra time had finished in a 1–1 draw. Maybe Marco Materazzi could be considered the man of the match: he levelled the scores following a corner, caused a controversial red card for Zinedine Zidane near the end of extra time, and scored one of the decisive penalties.
