It represents the Spiga building in the heart of the fashion district of Milan. Since 2021 it hosts Semina: L'infiorata di via della Spiga, a series of flower carpets made by the Associazione Maestri Infioratori di Noto, who have been inspired by my artworks this year. Thanks to Beyond The Line agency and AD Alessandra Grillo! Last week I was in Milan at the opening of SEMINA 2024. Ten artworks of mine have been beautifully reinterpreted as flower carpets by the Associazione Maestri Infioratori di Noto, and I also made a live painting performance at the Moschino store, main partner of the event. Here’s an extract of what I did. Unlike the rest of Italy, Milan has been quite rainy in this early summer, so I tried to bring some colors there! Thanks Alessandra Grillo, Beyond The Line Agency and Hines for having me involved in this beautiful project. Illustration for Scaglie, the magazine of Parmigiano Reggiano, celebrating Emilia-Romagna and its less known relationship with the world of fashion. A new generation of designers like Federico Cina, Marco Rambaldi and Luca Magliano considers our territory as an essential source of inspiration to develop their unique stylistic language. As a son of this region, I’m very proud of having illustrated this piece. AD by LUZ.
Pirelli from A to Z. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Pirelli, the company magazine "World" asked writers, designers and illustrators to describe with a letter of the alphabet the values that guided Pirelli over the time. I illustrated the letter L for "Lifestyle" since Pirelli has always been identified with a style, an elegance, a way of interpreting the times that goes far beyond the tyre manufacturing - it produced raincoats and swimsuits among other things. I also tried to portray the continuity between the city of Milan today, a leading, dynamic global center, and the city at the time of Pirelli's foundation in 1872.
