Double page illustration for Arizona Highways about the discovery of ancient flutes in caves on the Navajo and Hopi lands in Northern Arizona. Some well known musicians have taken an interest in them, spurring a resurgence in bringing back a tradition that was taken away when the tribes were being assimilated into American culture. Three book cover illustrations of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy for Italian publisher Einaudi, released on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of the author. Two illustrations for Internazionale magazine about he history of Czechoslovak LSD, which is one of the greatest phenomena of the second half of the 20th century according to the author Aleksander Kaczorowski. Three illustrations for Arizona Highways about the Exodus Trail: in 1875, both the Yavapai and the Apache people were removed from their Rio Verde reservation in Arizona and force-marched by U.S. soldiers in terrible conditions, nearly 200 miles, to the barren desert of San Carlos. In December 2016, a group of hikers walked the same trail and mapped it with GPS. Thanks to AD Keith Whitney for the great assignment.   |
